椎名莲，一个拥有“附身”能力的大学生，却发现这能力除了能让他看到别人眼中的世界，毫无用处。便利店的促销员、路边的大妈、甚至隔壁养的猫，他都能附身，却无法获得任何技能或力量。周二早上，他明明记得昨天在图书馆看到的书，却发现书页已经翻乱。梅雨季节的腐木味，让他想起上周五生物课上老师讲的真菌。他试图用附身能力帮助别人，结果总是弄巧成拙，比如附身到考试作弊者身上，却被当成神经病。更奇怪的是，他手机相册里出现了一张在横滨港拍摄的蓝光照片，但他从未去过那里。这能力到底有什么用？他自己也想不明白，只是隐约觉得，这“无用”的能力，或许隐藏着什么秘密。
